The Cost of Discipleship
We are in the midst of a series entitled 'The Cost of Discipleship,' informed by the gospel of Matthew and inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book of the same title. We are on a determined quest for him who is the sole object of it all. He says, 'Follow me,' and nothing is ever the same. What does it mean to be a disciple today? What does Jesus mean to say to us? To the every day worker? To the student? The businessman? 'Follow me.' Where will this lead? For the answer, we go to him, the one who bids us follow him, the one who knows the journey's end.
